My name is Ruth Anderson. I’m a native Virginian, born and raised in the greater Richmond area.

As a mother of an energetic five year old daughter, I know how hard, yet important, it can be to take some time for yourself away from the hectic and busy pace of life. That’s why I design our sessions together to be relaxing and refreshing, in a comfortable atmosphere.

Over the last 11+ years of being a licensed stylist I have developed a love of learning and growing in my craft, and I take pride in the advanced color education classes I take throughout the year. I love getting to know my clients and being able to offer the latest trends and techniques to help them achieve the hair of their dreams. I specialize in gray blending, gray coverage, and dimensional blonding services.

Customarily a stylist may provide a great first visit and solid maintenance care thereafter, however I see my role as your stylist a bit differently. I work with my clients to look at what can help their hair from the inside as well as what we put on the outside. Together we make a plan to achieve your hair goals and design a routine for healthy, beautiful hair that works for you and your lifestyle. I check in before our sessions to see what’s working and what might not be, and we change or adapt as needed.

When I’m not in the salon, or keeping up with my daughter, you’ll most likely find me curled up with a good book and a mug (a pretty one of course) of herbal tea. Growing up I always loved drawing and painting with oil paints and I still do when I have time. I enjoy painting ocean scenes, birds, and portraits of my family. I’ve found the artistic background has transferred beautifully into formulating hair color and the creativity that my craft requires.
